Devour Hunger for Waste Not is coming up on July 17 – 31! Waste Not is dedicated to food rescue and re-distribution. 12 Devour members will use local food producers such as Scheriener’s Sausage, Crooked Sky Farms, Chili Acres, Schnepf Farms, MJ Bread, The Meat Shop, Seacat Farms, Desert Blossom Honey, Queen Creek Olive Mill, McClendon’s Select, High Spirits Gin to raise funds for Waste Not. Also, watch for your favorite chefs to appear on Channel 3‘s popular show “Your life A to Z” beginning July 10th! The Waste Not dishes are as follows:
McClendon’s Summer Zucchini cakes with green goddess dressing
Summer Salad: Baby Arugula tossed with champagne vinaigrette, with grilled local peaches, roasted beets, fresh cherries and finished off with goat cheese and micro greens.
Fezole (Fez pozole) made with local organic corn, local organic sweet potatoes, local organic red chile broth, Schreiner’s chorizo, cabbage, and radish. Local organic produce from Crooked Sky Farms.
