			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Back by popular demand, Devour Phoenix and Phoenix Public Market are collaborating to bring Phoenix a delicious way to begin the new year and get some quality face time with some of the Valley’s finest chefs.  The <a href="http://foodconnect.org/phxmarket/?page_id=8765%20">Winter Chef Series</a>, taking place from January 10th to February 15th, is a follow up to the standing-room-only Summer Chef Series held at the Phoenix Public Market. We are excited to bring another tasty twist to downtown Phoenix with an amazing line up of culinary talent. Guests are served three courses, each paired with a locally produced drink while chefs demo their dishes and share techniques and stories. This year, demos on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The Winter Chef Series will also be sponsored by a few local food producers, including Maya’s Farm, Hickman’s Family Farms, Royal Coffee Bar and Double Check Ranch to promote awareness of the diversity and availability of locally sourced food items and how to use them in our cooking endeavors. A delicious way to stay cool this summer and get some quality face time with some of the Valley’s finest chefs, the new Summer Chef Series brings a tasty twist to downtown Phoenix.</p>
<p><strong>What: </strong><br />
Two-hour cooking class, including tastings, two beverages of the chef&#8217;s choice and take-home recipes. Each chef will have their own unique theme for summertime cooking. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My, oh my.  Where to even begin??  Now that the food and drink has properly digested and settled &#8211; <em>yet the abundant tastes, sights and smells remain perfectly ingrained in our minds</em> &#8211; let&#8217;s take a fond look back at the events of the 2nd Annual Devoured Phx Culinary Classic, shall we. . . .</p>
<p><strong>First, a snapshot:</strong><br />
- <strong>Over 3,000</strong> came through the Phoenix Art Museum in two days!  (Yes, it was a record.)<br />
- <strong>65</strong> Restaurants<br />
- Over<strong> 30</strong> Breweries, Wineries and Spirits<br />
- 5 Bands including headliner, Roger Clyne &amp; the Peacemakers<br />
- 10 <strong>Chef Demonstrations</strong> on the SubZero/Wolf Ferguson Stage<br />
- New VIP kickoff event, <strong>Palette to Palate</strong>, paired four Valley chefs with four local artists to create both visual and edible experiences on Friday night<br />
- New AJ&#8217;s Fine Foods <strong>Dessert Lounge</strong>, a sweet addition to the two-day event<br />
- Local company Wright Choice Promotions provided the environmentally friendly Taterware plates and forks<br />
- Arizona made napkins<br />
- Approximately 400 recycled wine bottles (<em>and counting</em>)</p>

- The Devour coalition restaurants cleaned up <em>(14 medals total</em>) in the food critic&#8217;s version of the Olympics! Howard Seftel handed out his &#8216;medals&#8217; to the following establishments:<br />
