New breakfast/brunch joint, Vovomeena, will open for business on Friday, September 21 at 1515 N 7th Avenue. Their hours of operation will be 6:30 am to 1:00 pm. We got a first bite – read about it here.
Humble Pie is taking the next 30 days very seriously as they raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. This is a personal issue for owner/operator Tim Valencia who lost his mother to this disease. A Pink Menu is being offered from now through October 14. A portion of the proceeds from this menu goes directly to Komen Phoenix.
Short Leash Hot Dogs will be at the Icehouse Garden Party (429 W Jackson Street), a new regular event on the second Thursday of each month. Their kick off event is Saturday, September 22, 6-8 pm. This is a collaborative event featuring art, music, food and more.
