During the official days of May 20th-May 29th, seek out your favorite Devour Phoenix members from the list of all participating restaurants on the Arizona Restaurant Week list, head to their restaurants to support their craft, snap an Instagram picture and tag @devourphoenix, and be entered to win $100 in Devour restaurant gift cards.

Bacon S'more's at Beckett's Table

Bacon S’more’s at Beckett’s Table

Enjoy 3 courses for $33, including a glass of wine, all week long at Phoenix City Grille. You’ll not want to miss the shortribs, or that croissant bread pudding while you lounge in this iconic Phoenix bar. For the same price at The Gladly, try a three course menu of Chef Bernie’s tasty dishes including the Original Chopped Salad, Duck Meatloaf and Bread Pudding. If you’re more of the southern persuasion, head to Southern Rail for choices like fried green tomatoes, corn chowder, and shrimp and grits (see full menu here). And, if you’re just a fan of Chef Justin Beckett in general, head over to his flagship restaurant Beckett’s Table for wood oven roasted beets, shepherd’s pie, and the classic chocolate dipped bacon s’mores (see full menu). Want more? In addition to these great places, check out all the menus of our Devour restaurants on the AZ Restaurant Week list. Find Okra, Sierra Bonita Grill, St. Francis and more.

Craft your plan of attack now! Our suggestion is to make a reservation while you still can, and hit every Devour restaurant for lunch or dinner each day during the week! The more you tag @devourphoenix, the more chances you have to win!

As Culinary Director for the Arizona-based restaurant group, Upward Projects, Chef Chris Newstrom has spent the past five years developing the menus at locally focused favs Postino, Windsor, Federal Pizza and Joyride Taco House. With critics hailing the team’s menus as “expertly-crafted” and “near perfect,” the public has also weighed in with a deep-rooted, cult following. “We always look for opportunities to innovate, but at the end of the day, we want to make sure we are executing really, really well,” says Newstrom. And execute they do: in 2015, Newstrom lead his Upward Projects culinary team to New York City after receiving an invite to cook at the James Beard House, seen by many culinary insiders as one of the most prestigious experiences a chef can undertake.

Prior to joining Upward Projects, Newstrom honed his skills in a variety of progressive, local kitchens including La Grande Orange, Gallo Blanco, and later St. Francis. It was here, Newstrom says, that he learned the importance of incorporating timeless culinary traditions and authentic, indigenous ingredients, while adapting them to the way people eat today.

In his spare time, Newstrom’s an avid home gardener, where he unwinds by playing his music too loud while tending to his backyard oasis filled with everything from exotic peppers to heirloom corns. And when he’s not working on his green thumb, this self-described gear head is fueling his lead foot, racing shifter karts, his Mustang Cobra’s, and anything else that goes really, really fast. Newstrom lives in North Central Phoenix and is the proud father of two.
