“Peoria’s events scene continues to get better and better, and I am thrilled to have this multicultural, culinary experience coming to the heart of our city,” says Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat. “I can’t wait for family and friends to gather as they ‘Devour the World’ together.”

Attendees will get to explore global cuisine that they might not know can be enjoyed in Arizona — and even taste test some that will be opening up physical locations soon. Mochilero Kitchen, opening its doors in early March in Peoria, will serve dishes from various regions in Mexico.

“Mochilero translates into ‘backpacker’ and that’s exactly what guests will get to do through our menu and at this event. We’re just not focused on one region, but all regions that make up Mexican cuisine,” says Jorge Cota, owner of Mochilero Kitchen. “The beauty of food is that you can start in one region, travel just 10-20 miles, and have a completely different culinary experience."

Additional highlights include:

A principal cultural stage will feature musicians and dancers showcasing culturally diverse performances. Attendees will enjoy a Taiko Drumming Showcase from renowned musician Ken Koshio, experience a Kawambe-Omowale African Dancing, be wowed by a Chinese Lion Dance, and so much more!

Hensley international beverage garden featuring beers of the world including Hoegaarden Beer, Stella Artois, Kirin Ichiban, Baja Brewing Co.

A diverse mix of local ambassadors and fun activities, cultural discover offers a virtual trip around the world with workshops, interactive presentations, and hands-on activities.

A musical instrument petting zoo from the Musical Instrument Museum where attendees can play instruments from around the world including a ukulele, a West African djembe, a concertina, and many others.
